Frankies Community Kitchen is made up of fantastic dedicated committee who are in search of a volunteer treasurer.
The workload is a very small workload but would include attending a monthly meeting. We are all dedicated to the social enterprise but also are committed to ensure the committee’s work does not overload our personal lives.
Come and join the passion we all have, be part of a social enterprise making a change for people in need in the greater Gippsland area.
The treasurer will be responsible for financial management and/or oversight. A Treasurer will oversee the basic tasks as selecting a bank, reconciling bank statements, and managing cash flow. The Treasurer should be knowledgeable about who has access to the organisation’s funds and any outstanding bills or debts owed. The Treasurer should create and maintain systems for ensuring the organisation’s ongoing solvency and oversee the development of the organisation’s financial policies, including check signing authority, expense reimbursement and petty cash policies, if applicable.
The Treasurer should also have thorough knowledge and understanding of the organisation’s financial reports.
Ultimately, while financial management is the primary focus of the Treasurer, the entire board shares the responsibility of financial oversight and accountability.
Ideally, you will have experience from previous committees or have bookkeeping, accounting or financial controlling experience.
